Our MissionThe mission of the RNHA is to build a membership organization to foster the principles of the Republican Party in the Hispanic community; to provide Hispanic Americans with a forum to play an influential role in local, state, and national Party activities; to increase the number of Hispanic Republican elected officials; and to create and maintain a network of Hispanic Republican leaders.
Our Objectives
Our CommitmentSince 1974 the RNHA has been involved in the elections of presidents Ford, Reagan, and Bush and was very active during the 1998 election. Our new leadership is strongly committed to the following:
Our HistoryThe RNHA grew out of the Hispanic Finance Committee. The Finance Committee raised over a quarter of a million dollars in nine states. Its goal was to build an organization to foster the principles of the Republican Party in the Hispanic Community, to provide Hispanic Americans with a forum to play an influential role in local, state and national party activities, and to increase the number of Republican Hispanic elected officials. The fall campaign of 1972 saw the first group of RNHA members and officials in action. They were discussing issues, and helping to get out the Hispanic vote. In 1974 the RNHA was officially organized by a group of Hispanic Republicans under the leadership of then-incumbent RNC Chairman George Bush. Since that time, RNHA has been the only Hispanic Republican organization recognized as an allied of the Republican National Committee (RNC). The Washington RNHA was founded in March 2001, by a group of Hispanics that had been involved in the Hispanic for Bush campaign and had a shared commitment to facilitate the increased political involvement of the Hispanic population in our state. The Washington RNHA established an affiliate relationship with the Washington
State Republican Party in January 2002.
Our ConstitutionOur State Constitution was adopted in March 2001 and is available here.
